I went to New Orleans for the weekend in 2006 with a friend of mine. We partied a bit then went to check into a hotel downtown. I was filling out the paperwork when one of the Front Desk Clerks busted out (to the other girl behind the desk): “I sure could go for some chicken noodle soup, chicken noodle soup…” To which I chimed in, “With a soda on the side?” Both girls started laughing and one said “I never would have expected that in a million years.”
Moral of the story: Club music transcends cultures
