NOTEBOOK OF SULTAN MEHMED II THE CONQUEROR IN HIS CHILDHOOD PERIOD
The library of the Topkapi Palace Museum have a notebook belonging to Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. Book has found in the period of Sultan II. Abdul Hamid Khan.
Prince II. Mehmed used this book during his teenage years. 180 pages.
Book begins with Basmalah and the formulas. After the “Mehmed the son of Murad Khan” tugra labeled trials, Arabic, Persian, Grecian alphabets have written essays and portrait drawings.
These sort of artifacts absolutely blow my mind. It’s parallel if we had the journal of George Washington when he was a kid (actually more impressive than that). Mehmed II was the sultan that took Constantinople when he was 21 fucking years old. Yeah… come on…
